Water Marble Manicure

This was first time trying to create a water marble manicure and it took quite a few tries. Basically only my OPI polishes would work. Every other brand I have didn’t spread well in the water. Some cheaper brands I own completely dissolved. So once I figured that out I was one step closer. I watched a great tutorial on youtube it was really helpful.Β http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IF4et6-rw5s

A big mistake I kept making was when I put my finger in the water then pulled it out the polish around my nail in the water would end up over my nail ruining the manicure. I started to remove the excess polish around my finger with a toothpick and that fixed that problem.

I’m really glad I didn’t give up and I learned a new technique today. Overall, I do like the effect but I will only use water marbling on an accent nail as I feel it’s too busy to put on all my nails. Also that would be a huge waste of nail polish.

  1. This looks amazing! It’s so neat for a water marbling manicure. I love your colour choices too, so pretty πŸ™‚

  2. I just cannot get a water marble to work! I should try it on just one finger. Less pressure! πŸ™‚

    • Did you watch the link I posted from youtube? It’s so helpful, I wished I had watched it BEFORE I decided to try this, it would have saved me about 2 hours!!! And yeah, way less pressure with just an accent nail! πŸ™‚

  3. I’ve tried to get this twice now and it always looks so messy. I like the idea of doing one nail, takes the pressure offa s Ive spent hours on this thing. Nice work.
