Don’t Go Chasing Waterfalls

DSC_0373

Here’s another waterfall manicure that I did a few weeks ago. I chose these colours to match a new dress.

I used;

Modi hardener, OPI’s Fly, Essie’s First Timer, Coverl Girl’s, Glosstinis (yellow), Sephora’s Social Climber, Sinful Colours’ Dream On, and Seche Vite topcoat.

I love the dress  because the skirt is really light and flows. The top is comfortable and dressy enough for evening wear. I got it in a store here called Pamela Scott’s.

Here’s a close up of the skirt.

Momicure! Because sharing is caring! :)

Mom2 Mom1

When someone cooks, cleans, and does laundry for you it’s only fair to pay them back with a manicure every once in a while. Mom’s fav is a french manicure. For this look I used OPI Base Coat, Essie’s Sugar Daddy, Essie’s Blanc and Seche Vite top coat. I was quite happy with how it turned out (mom was too). 🙂

It’s weird painting someone else’s nails! It took me a while to get confident at it. It’s definitely not the same as doing your own. It’s good practice though! 🙂

Essie and Estee – Summer Gradient, Matt style

DSC_0270

The weather in Ireland is usually really mild and it rains a lot. We don’t get scorching hot summers, and our winters aren’t ridiculously cold either. But for the past week the sun has been splitting the rocks here!! (26 degrees Celsius one day!!) Everyone I know went to the beach and had lots of fun. I had to work, but that’s ok. I get burned too easily anyway and don’t want tan lines on my wedding day!

All this hot weather made me crave ice-pops from my childhood. Do you know Tangle Twisters, Brunch, Feasts, Loop the Loops? Well, I’ve had all of them in the past week, (as my trainer would say, ‘disaster’). And their bright colors made me want to paint my nails.

I chose gradient because it’s still a challenge for me. So, I’m trying to perfect it. Expect more!

I used Essie, Blanc and Estee Lauder, Lilac Leather. I also used Modi’s Matt topcoat to give it that frozen look.

I love my Toms! Greg bought them for me last year when he went home to the states. So comfy and cute!

Fan Nails

1

Feels like it’s been forever since I’ve posted on my blog about nails! Things like working 12 hour shifts, planning a wedding, hanging out with people I haven’t seen in a while have all taken up my time, oh and working out too!! I got a trainer, his favorite word to describe me is ‘disaster’! It’s a complicated relationship. Anyway, I can’t promise a whole load of future posts, but I will try to make more of a nail art effort in the future!! I am, as always, enjoying lots of YOUR blogs and posts.

Here are some ‘fan’ nails I did a little while ago. This look is GREAT when you just don’t have time for delicate and intricate detail. A few quick swipes and a little clean-up and you’re good to go.

I used OPI’s Red Lights Ahead. . . Where? and Essie’s Blanc.

Estee Lauder Lilac Leather – and then some lace! :)

DSC_0102

Ha, I think Greg is trying to tell me he’s gonna miss me! He came home with another  Estee Lauder polish yesterday! Perfect timing as I was ready to take off Narcissist. This time I used almost four coats because I wanted it to be really even across the nail. I love the color, but I didn’t want to do a straight up swatch so I decided to add french tips (Essie – blanc) and some lace nail stickers and oh yeah some jewels! I was really in the mood to decorate my nails last night! 🙂

Sheets of these lace stickers are on sale in most beauty stores here in Seoul, I love them! Tonight I’m heading out for dinner and a few drinks  so I’m glad I have girly nails for the occasion! 🙂

My cuticles and skin are really suffering in this weather! I’m moisturizing but it’s just not enough! Maybe the weather in Ireland will be kinder to me.

My Easter Manicure

2

These are my Easter nails. They go with my Easter chocolate! I like the cheerful yellow. I already blogged about this style of ombre nail art in light blue here, but I just love this design so much I wanted to do it again! (that doesn’t happen me very often!) I used Sally Hansen, Lightening and Essie, Blanc and a dotting tool too.

Tonight Greg and I and a few friends are having a going away party in our local. It’s happy/sad!! I’ll miss everyone I’ve gotten to know over the last four years but I’m really keen to get on with my life and get the wedding organised, go home to Ireland etc.!

I’m not going to think about it too much tonight I’m just going to have a good time with friends and wine! (and shots!)

These are the perfect nails for my evening, cheerful and bright!

Have a good weekend everyone! 🙂

Jigsaw Nails

Hey everyone!

These are my jigsaw nails. I’ve always wanted to try these out! They look really good but they did take a long time to do. I used, Essie (blanc), OPI (Strawberry Margarita), and The Face Shop (light purple).

I’m looking forward to wearing them out tonight. Every second Tuesday Greg hosts a Trivia night in one of our local bars. It’s always fun to sit with my friends and do the quiz. I’m always really proud of him and the effort he makes to keep it really fun. Tonight is the last night because we are leaving in a couple of weeks. All our friends will be there and I’m really looking forward to the evening  and of course rocking these nails!!! 🙂 1
