Henna Style Stamping

1

How much do I love stamping manicures? A lot! For this manicure I wanted the stamping polish to really pop. I think Barefoot in Barcelona matched up really well with my red Konad stamping polish. It reminds me of henna art. I used Bundle Monster stamping plate BM 306.

It’s a little strange not having to do a specific manicure every day now that the pre-spring challenge contest is over! Congratulations to the winners Short and Sweet in Texas and Up Close and Polished. Both girls created beautiful manicures throughout the contest. čÖé

Floral French Tip Nail Transfers

When I bought these I assumed they were stickers and that it would be easy to put them on and file them off. Done in ten mins. Simple. But no. That is not what happened.

I opened them and FACEPALM realised they were transfers not stickers. So I went and got some water and started to out them on. This was my first time using transfer tips. NIGHTMARE!!

When you pull them out of the water and put them on your nail they don’t really stick and THEN you have to file off the excess. So what was happening was I was filing and the tip would start moving at the same time! Super frustrating! I ended up putting on the tip and sticking it down with topcoat then filing off the excess.

I was really annoyed and swore I would never use them again. I cursed a lot (my fiance can testify). But then, when I calmed down, I saw how pretty they looked, AND after two days they hadn’t chipped at all. That is some kind of record for me. So, I think I was a bit harsh and ┬ámaybe I will use these again. . . maybe.

Floral Nail Goodness :)

Image

My order of nail supplies came today and one of the things that arrived was nail transfers! Yay! (makes me happy!)

Here’s how I started

I cut out the piece I wanted then pulled off the plastic coating. I put it in the container of water, waited for 10 seconds, and then put it on my nail. The transfer slips off the cardboard onto the nail. Result? Awesome nails!
