Nail Art For Funn’s Family Manicures!!

I thought I’d share some manicures I’ve done recently. Since I can’t wear polish to work it makes sense to do my mam’s nails and sometimes my aunt’s too!

I’ve actually been painting my mam’s nails since I came home in March. We started with simple colours, then I got her hooked on nail jewels and now stamping! Yay!! ๐Ÿ™‚

I used OPI’s Barefoot in Barcelona, and red Konad stamping polish with Bundle Monster’s plate 306.

This is a replica of a manicure I did last year. I showed mam the picture and she liked so I recreated it for her (with the nail jewels of course!)

She’s even learning how to ‘pose’!

This manicure was for my aunt. She wanted Autumn colours so we chose a silver Sephora polish by OPI, Social Climber ย and OPI’s Tomorrow Never Dies. Love, love, love, this colour, and this combo!

My Aunt was diggin’ her chevrons!

Also, posing quite nicely!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Last week we adventured in lace. Mam chose the colours and loved the result! She thought they looked delicate and ladylike. We used Estee Lauder’s Dilettante and Lilac Leather.

I’m thinking I’ll introduce her to textured polish next, and maybe stripes? What do you think? Let me know!!!

The Girl with the Butterfly Print Nails

DSC_0265

Here’s a look inspired by a beautiful dark blue dress I saw the other day. This Sephora by OPI polish (Opening Night) is a perfect match with it, and I think the butterflies add a little magic to the look. I used Konad stamping plate m21, and Konad silver stamping polish.

The butterflies are really not that visable, it’s only when the light hits them, or if someone is really looking closely that they appear.

I haven’t stamped in months, so some of the butterflies are a little askew. But this was fun, so I may have to go back to my stamps again soon. ๐Ÿ™‚

Henna Style Stamping

1

How much do I love stamping manicures? A lot! For this manicure I wanted the stamping polish to really pop. I think Barefoot in Barcelona matched up really well with my red Konad stamping polish. It reminds me of henna art. I used Bundle Monster stamping plate BM 306.

It’s a little strange not having to do a specific manicure every day now that the pre-spring challenge contest is over! Congratulations to the winners Short and Sweet in Texas and Up Close and Polished. Both girls created beautiful manicures throughout the contest. ๐Ÿ™‚

Day 2 Pre-Spring Challenge Contest Pink

1

For day two the theme is pink and I decided to keep it simple and use my fav pink ever which is OPI’s Strawberry Margarita. I stamped gold Konad stamping polish over it. I used BM-315. I really love the paisley print. It was really difficult to capture the color because it is so light and shimmery. It’s a very subtle look, you really need the light to catch the stamping polish. But I really love it!2

Day 1 Pre-Spring Challenge Contest (PSCC1) Yellow

1It’s my first time entering in a challenge and I’m a little nervous! I hope my manis don’t look too crappy beside all the others! Today’s challenge was yellow. I used Ciate Big Yellow Taxi, Bundle Monster Plate 311 (BM-311). I also used black Konad stamping polish and gold beads that I picked up in Japan last year and never got around to using.

Thanks to Polish Alcoholic and Mommy Loves Nail Polish for setting this up!

In-law Nails!

1 2

Hey everyone, In the morning I’m flying to the states to meet my in-laws for the first time! I’ll be spending Christmas in Florida! I’m so excited! I really want to make ย a good impression so I took a lot of care with my nails, I hope you like the results, I hope my future mother in law likes them too! Wish me luck guys! The stamping plate is Bundle Monster BW-319. I used Konad white stamping polish and Sally Hanson’s Xtreme Wear Blue It.ย 3 PicMonkey Collage

I was very excited when my bundle monster package arrived last week. But, because work has been so cray all week I didn’t have much time to fool around with the plates. I’ll have more time in January so watch out for some stamping manicures then! And hopefully I’ll have picked up some nice nail art supplies in the states! ๐Ÿ™‚

Purple Stamping Manicure

1

Hey everybody! Hope you are all enjoying the weekend! Today’s post is just a simple stamping manicure I did a while ago. I bought a range of Konad stamping polishes and wanted to test out the purple one. I was disappointed with the Sally Hansen polish Nude Now. I felt it made my nails look weirdly stained and it wasn’t opaque at all. I would have preferred a creamier polish. ย The stamping plate used was Konad M2.
