Day 14 Pre-Spring Challenge Contest Recreate Your Favorite Look

3

This was my favorite! I got a lot of compliments on it so that’s always a good indication!

I hope you like it too! I changed it a little this time. I swapped a Ciate base coat for Sally Hansen.  The difference is that the sky is a little brighter and sparkly. Here’s the first version.

I’m sad that the challenge is over now, I had a lot of fun and it was really great to pick up a few new techniques and see everyone’s manicure every day! Thank you again, Posh Alcoholic and Mommy Loves Nail Polish!

Day 13 Pre-Spring Challenge Contest Sponging

1

Ta da! Here is my sponge/gradient/ombre manicure. Big exhale! I will be trying to incorporate more sponging in future manicure now that I’m no longer afraid of it! I taped up my cuticles and started with a white base coat, Essie’s blanc. I used a make-up sponge and dabbed it up and down a bit to get a better blend. I like how it turned out. I used three shades of purple but I’m not sure if you can clearly see that. Hopefully you can! The challenge is almost and I’m gonna miss it! I’m really glad I joined in on it!

I got the idea for this mani from a google image search. Here’s the original image. I really like how it turned out! When I was painting my nails there were so many bottles on the table lol!  And I gotta give some credit to my fiance Greg who suggested I stamp over the bright colors (sometimes he likes to butt in and give advice when I’m doing my nails lol!) 4Colors used, Sally Hansen Lightening, (yellow) The Face Shop, Face It  (blue, peach, orange and light purple), Prorance (green), OPI Color So Hot It Berns, OPI Red Lights Ahead . . . Where? OPI Strawberry Margarita, OPI Fly, OPI Lourve Me, Lourve Me Not. BM plate 313 and White Konad stamping polish.

Day 4 Pre-Spring Challenge Contest Flowers

1

Today’s theme is flowers. I tried for ages to dot some on then I decided to use my transfers for the job! The weather here is Seoul is miserable! So it was nice to have a spring type flower mani to wear!

For this mani I used Face It Nail polish, it has no name. I used nail transfers for the flowers. I love how the poppy’s look with the peachy base coat. They are perfect for spring time! 🙂 2 3 4

Dots ‘n’ Crackle!

This is just a simple polka dot manicure. I really liked it because it was feminine and cute.

Here’s what I used.

Then I started wondering what it would look like if I put crackle over it. I spread the crackle on from side to side, not from the base to the tip of the nail.

I really liked the results!

The purple crackle looks burnt in places and almost pink in other places.

This last picture was taken in outdoor light.
