Estee Lauder Narcissist

DSC_0079

The other day Greg surprised me when he came back from the store with this polish. It’s my first Estee Lauder Polish and I love love love it! It glides on really smoothly.I only used two coats but in hindsight I should have used three. It’s a really pretty shade of creamy pink. This polish came from their Easter collection they also have a green and a purple in the store. Here’s a link to the collection. I think I might also get the purple one! 🙂 Honestly, it’s been on my nails 24hours and I may never take it off!!!

On another note, this time next week I will be flying home to Ireland!!! I only have a little bit of time left here with Greg so there may not be a ton of posts in the next few days! (unless I get that purple polish!!) lol!

BTW if anyone can let me know what polishes I could pick up in Heathrow that’d be awesome!

Thanks! Nic 🙂

Pink Caviar

1

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a good time! I spent all of new year’s day flying back here to Seoul from the US. That’s the reason for the lack of posts in the last two weeks, I was busy meeting my in-laws and my fiance’s extended family in Florida and Indiana. Luckily for me I got a ton of nail polish for my birthday and Christmas AND I went a bit nuts in some stores. I have SOOOOOOO many polishes to show off on here!! Expect a lot of posts this week!

In the meantime, this manicure was one I did a little while ago. It’s very simple and cute (I think). It’s OPI’s  Love Struck Strawberry under pink nail caviar which I ordered from gmarket – online shopping site in Korea that delivers worldwide. Very fast and easy to do and still striking.

Breast Cancer Awareness Manicure

October is breast cancer awareness month. I didn’t want to let the month end without creating a manicure inspired by this theme. I’m no expert on this topic so I’m not going to pretend I am. Here’s a link if you’re interested in what it’s all about. http://www.nbcam.org/

Here’s what I used for this manicure.

I had so much fun giving each nail a different look! I really love this manicure! My favorite nail is the red middle finger, so bling! 🙂

Which one is your favorite?

Prettyful Pink Mani

I’m not really a girly girl (says the girl who has a nail art blog and loves Taylor Swift) but I love how pretty these nails are! I think my favorite manicures have all been the beautiful ones, not the funky ones. Hmm.

Anyways, this manicure is one I did a while ago. I pulled it from the archives. This week has been cray cray at work and at home so I didn’t have time to get experimental with my polishes. That changes tonight (I’m excited!!).

For this mani I used Face It, (shown) Etude House, (light pink) and OPI Topcoat and I got the nail art jewels in Etude house. Those  brands will probably mean nothing to you unless you live in Korea, sorry!! I used scotch tape to get those lines. I had to wait until the first layer of polish was completely dry to use the tape. Then I put the tape down and painted the light pink over it, pulled it off and voila! I stuck the jewels down with topcoat.

Hope you like the mani. If it’s your first time stopping by the blog PUHLEASE give me feedback !!! I’d love to know what you think of the pictures and the writing.  Please be gentle!! 🙂

Flower French Manicure!

I was in a colorful mood what can I say! I really wanted a bright multicolored manicure. Here’s what I used.

This is my flower wheel. I bought in at an online Korean store. I assumed that they were fake but actually these are real pressed flowers!

Cute aren’t they? 🙂

Here’s a close up of each of my nails.

Here’s today’s look  without the flowers.

Striping Tape Tutorial

This tutorial kind of explains itself so it won’t be very wordy . 🙂

The base polishes are from yesterdays manicure post! Why waste a manicure when you can upgrade it?!! Here’s what I used.

It’s better to cut the tape and have it ready in strips at the edge of a table or somewhere convenient.

Peel the tape off while the polish is still wet. That’s key! Pull carefully and one strip at a time.I used Sally Hansen’s White On for this manicure.

I thought this manicure would be more difficult than it actually was. Once I had the tape cut and ready it was easy.

Love Story

Once upon there was a polish called Strawberry Margarita. She came from the land of OPI. While she knew she was fabulous sometimes she felt she was missing something. She needed a bounce in her pretty little step.

One day she found what was missing. She fell in love at first swatch.  He gave her a sparkle so  perfect it brought out the best in both of them. They lived happily ever after, perfectly complimenting each other.

So, my favourite polish at the moment. OPI’s Strawberry Margarita. I love it so much I bought a marked up bottle of it from a Korean store. It’s great on its own or, as in this case, as a base coat.

Sally Hansen diamond strength polish really surprised me. On its own it’s a bit flat but on top of the OPI it shimmers, sparkles, glitters. . .  you get where I’m going??!

The result is a BEAUTIFUL manicure that is really girly and pretty! (If I do say so myself)

Nail Stamp Tutorial

I have not been stamping very long but I love the amazing results you can get from a simple stamp! The possibilities for new and different manicures are endless. A perk is with the stamp it doesn’t matter if your hand slightly shakes but with freestyle nail art that’s a big issue.  I learned how to nail stamp from a tutorial. So here is my own version  on how to nail stamp.

First, here is what you will need. A stamping plate (I am using a Konad plate) Konad are a really good brand. You also need a rubber stamp,  a scraper or a plastic card (it can be an old gift card etc) and I use Konad nail polish that is especially made for stamping. This polish is much more opaque than other so it stamps well. However, I have been told that if you want to use regular nail polish for stamping you just file the rubber stamp a few times to make it less smooth.

First paint your nails a base color. I used OPI Margarita.

Then paint lightly over the stamp design.

Then roll the stamp over the plate in one smooth motion.

Stamp on the nail using the same smooth left to right or right to left motion.

Allow it to dry, (won’t take long) and cover with a topcoat! I use OPI Top Coat.

Please let me know what you think about this  tutorial. It’s my first!!!
