It’s Time Nailartforfunn Went NEON!!

I know neon nails has been done but not by me! I never really bothered with that look this summer. I think it’s because I was focused on the wedding and all things french manicure-y. Yes, I made up a word. I do that a lot.

Pic 1 topcoat is OPI’s The Living Daylights, Pic 2 OPI’s The Man With The Golden Gun, Pic 3 MODI.

Yesterday I went into Penney’s (Primark). For those of you who don’t know Penney’s it sells everything from clothes, to shoes, to accessories, and it’s REALLY cheap. I went in to buy furry cuddley socks. I came out with 20 euro worth of stuff! Including these nail polishes. There were actually 4 in the pack but the neon yellow one had turned into a putty, so I didn’t bother with that one.

All four only cost 2.50! Couldn’t pass that up! The bottles are only 6ml and they smell strong when applied. Each polish needed just 2 coats, except the green which needed 3 to cover bald spots.

I’ll be keeping my eyes open for more bargain polishes from now on!

Which one is your favourite? I think mine is the first one. That orange-y tang is quite cheerful!

OPI James Bond Skyfall Collection

DSC_2531

From left to right they are: Casino Royale, You Only Live Twice, Live And Let Die, Moonraker, The Living Daylights, Die Another Day, The Man With The Golden Gun, The Spy Who Loved Me, Skyfall, Golden Eye, Tomorrow Never Dies, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, The World Is Not Enough.

I may be one of the last people to review this collection but I don’t care! 🙂 As many of you know I spent Christmas in the States meeting my future in-laws. While there my              uh-mazing fiance gifted me TONS of nail polish for my birthday/Christmas! I couldn’t wait to get home and enjoy it all!

When I got home I impatiently swatched about a million polishes frantically trying to ‘capture’ them all. I kind of burnt out after a few days. Then I started to wonder why I was so eager to swatch them at all? I mean, when can you enjoy the polish if you’re just putting it on and off like a robot? It’s not that I don’t enjoy swatching and reviewing polishes it’s just when there are so MANY new polishes to enjoy why not just chill out and wear some of them for more than 30 mins? That’s just me! I enjoy seeing everyone’s swatches so plz don’t take any of this personally.

I’m posting about the Skyfall collection and originally I was gonna swatch each one bla bla bla but now I’ve decided to be disorganised and just have fun. So far, I’ve only worn two of the polishes, excluding the 18 carat gold topcoat.,  which I LOVE

I wore this Thursday to work. I love the peppy shade it’s a tangy orange-y shade which is still reddish enough not to be garish. It was the perfect shade to build up to Friday! It applied really smoothly and needed only two coats. I gotta say OPI’s still my favourite brand for quality and ease of application.

I HAD to try out The Man With The Golden Gun! I was so excited! I think it turned out well and I do really love it but next time I think I’ll use more. It’s kind of hard to know what’s on the brush as you can’t see into the bottle. Also, sometimes not a lot comes out and you have to get rid of the clear polish to get to the golden parts. It’s a great polish, it just needs a little care when applying.

More posts on this collection coming your way in the future! Have a great weekend everyone! 🙂
